Thousand invited for subclass-189 in July

Keeping all frightening speculations aside, hopeful invitation round took place in 11th of this month the Department of Home Affairs invitation figures shows. Similar as last year the Australian government invited correctly one thousand applicants to apply for skilled independent point tested visa subclass-189. Australian visa subclass-189 is the only visa that allows a grantee to live in any Australian cities as a permanent resident and need nomination neither from state nor employer. Many aspirants eye for this visa, especially international students living and studying in Australia. 

As the figures released by the Department of Home Affairs among the one thousand, 775 were 80 point scorer on SkillSelect. Another 130 recorded 85 points and 80 scored 90 points on SkillSelect to be invited at the first round of new migration program year 2019-2020. Among the invited this round 15 has claimed the prestigious 95 points on their EOI for 189-visa. The figure indicates candidate must have 80 points to be hopeful to get an invitation to apply for Australian permanent residency independently.

As per the round results, to get invited Accountants, Auditors, Company Secretaries, and Corporate Treasurers have to work hard to manage points; 85 must meet. Other pro-rata occupations Electronics Engineer, Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers, Other Engineering Professionals, ICT Business and System Analysts, Software and Applications Programmers, and Computer Network Professionals may get invited if claim at least 80 points on their EOI.

Remember Last Year

Beginning of the new program year 2019-2020 not seems only similar but we can say a bit improved. The July round produced 100 skilled regional provisional visa invitations that were 10 last year. For 189 the number is the same but there is room to be hopeful it might go high further. (Click here to read last year’s invitation trend) Last year the department invited 1000 candidates to apply for a visa on the first round and increased the number on following invitation round up to 2490. October and November last year department invited more than 4300 candidates each month and the program year concluded with total 22,920 invitations for a subclass-189 visa.

Hope is alive

Applicants with 75 and more than 75 points on SkillSelect can be hopeful for upcoming two to three rounds. If it gets the same trend as last year many of you may not need to move interstate. Those who don’t have 80 points and still room left to increase points, try for that, go for NAATI CCL, PTE 79+ and nominated occupation work experience another thing whoever eyeing 189 must join professional year.
