Lamichhane Sparking Big Bash League, Climbs top in wicket taking list

Nepalese Leg-Spinner outstanding performance continues in Big Bash League Australia as his side Melbourne Stars clinched their first victory in the league. Sandeep has been on fire since the beginning of the season in this league. However, his side tasted the first victory in their third match on Thursday.

With this performance Sandeep has become top wicket-taker in the league, taking 7 wickets of three matches.

On Thursday’s match against Sydney Sixers, Sandeep was successful in taking two wickets with his outstanding bowling. He has been very economical in this tournament. At the last match, he took two wickets just for 18 runs. His both wickets were from lbw. He took the wickets of Moises Henriques and Tom Curran. [ads2]

With is valuable contribution his team was successful to limit Sixers for just 130-9 while his team completed the target in only 14.5 overs with 5 wickets remaining.

Lamichhane has been proven very valuable for Melbourne. He has now established himself as a very important player for his team. He has bowled whole four overs in his all three matches.

In an interview with Channel Seven in the ground, Sandeep told that he was very happy for the team for winning more than him taking wickets. He also said that he was very happy as his performance is improving day by day and he was sure that this will open the chance and encouragement for the other cricketers back home in Nepal.

Commentators and Veteran Cricketers were full of praise for Sandeep for his performance.
As usual, there were a large number of Nepalese supporters cheering for him at the Sydney Cricket ground.

Now his team will play on Tuesday with Melbourne Renegades.
