Community, small businesses could get CCTV camera worth 5000 dollars free

Community and small businesses in New South Wales could be able to secure their business premises through Close Circuit Television (CCTV) camera, without spending any dollars. A New South Wales government initiative aims to help small business owners secure their business using CCTV camera System. All small business with less than $10 million turnover or less than 20 employees are eligible for the free CCTV camera system. Under the Community and Small Business CCTV Fund your small business will get a free device and setup worth of $5000.

 

This offer is for community groups and small businesses operating in different local government areas in Greater Sydney. There is an eligibility criterion for this free CCTV system and whoever eligible and gets the system need to register their CCTV system to NSW Police. You need to share CCTV camera footage if crime happens and police requests to access to relevant data to help identify and prosecute offenders.

Who can apply for free CCTV camera package?

Not for profit community organisations and small businesses with turnover less than $10 millions or less than 20 staffs are eligible to apply for the CCTV camera package. And businesses operating on premises within listed local government areas:

  • Blacktown
  • Burwood
  • Campbelltown
  • Canterbury-Bankstown
  • Fairfield
  • Hawkesbury
  • Liverpool
  • Penrith
  • The Hills
  • Blue Mountains
  • Camden
  • Canada Bay
  • Cumberland
  • Georges River
  • Inner West
  • Parramatta
  • Strathfield
  • Wollondilly

Business not eligible for CCTV package

Not all businesses and organisations are not eligible to receive free CCTV package. Home based businesses, unincorporated, located in large industrial or shopping complex and outside from the LGAs participating on this program. If you have installed CCTV system already and seeking for reimbursement you cannot get that.

If your organisation is for profit and not a small business, you may not be eligible to get free CCTV system under the government project.

Application for this free CCTV camera system will close on 30 April 2023.
