Are you a tradie and want to travel? Well the timing just couldn’t be perfect. Australia has lots of opportunities for tradies and labourers who will be willing to travel places for their job and work. The Hays Quarterly Report has revealed that employers are now looking on interstate hiring if the candidate meet their skill requirement. The report revealed that there is high demand for part time and temporary workers who are ready to take up assignments that may involve travelling.

Currently, the Northern Territory has need for technicians who can work in areas like refrigeration technicians, plumbers or labourers. Queensland has a requirement for bricklayers, labourers and shopfitters. Similarly, South Australia is looking for pipe layers, excavator operators and grader operators; NSW is the destination for roofers, carpenters and excavators. People employed in areas related to duct installers, plumbers (commercial, supervisors, project managers), post tension technicians and electrical project managers have found Western Australia quite lucrative.  So you just have to have the skills and there are employers waiting. There are several apps also available for tradies that connect them to others in this field of work.

Hays Construction Senior Regional Director Simon Bristow said that it is very common for them to receive applications from candidates who have travelled a lot for jobs, as reported. He also added that this does show their commitment towards work and such candidate are always welcome in Australia if they have right skill set.

There are a lot of added benefits when you are moving a lot while or for work. This, first of all lets you travel and discover new places. Thus life doesn’t become all about work. Secondly, you get to find out about work opportunities elsewhere which would have been a little difficult if you stayed in the same city or work. This will also help you to sharpen your skill set according to the demographic needs to customers. It can’t even be put into words how much cultural knowledge you will develop. Many casual and part time workers also enjoy the benefit of not having to pay high amounts of rent for long term stay.
