New South Wales, the most appealing Australian state nominated thousand of candidates for skilled visas to remain in Australia permanently. NSW nominated 1087 candidates for four different visas in two months. Department of Home Affairs report on state migration confirms during July and August NSW nominated 263 candidates for skilled nominated visa subclass 190 and 649 candidates for skilled regional provisional visa subclass 489.
The state also nominated 169 candidates for business innovation and investment provisional visa subclass 188 and six for business talent permanent visa subclass 132. Among the four 190 and 132 are permanent residency visas whereas the other two give pathway.

Many aspirant permanent settlers in Australia insist to live and work in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne. For the program year, the 2019-2020 Australian government has capped the permanent places at 160,000. Last year a similar number of permanent residency visas were granted. For this year the government has limited skilled independent visas to 18,652. For the regional Australia government allotted 23,000 regional visas and almost 25,000 visas for state nomination. To get a state nomination a candidate has to fulfill the state’s nomination criteria mostly focused on regional living.
