Sanatan Samaj plans to establish Pashupatinath temple in Australia, anticipate uniting all Nepalese living in Australia through the cultural and religious thread.

Sanatan Samaj Australia (SSA), a Canberra-based Nepalese community organization distributed relief materials to flood victims in Nepal. A team with relief materials including groceries and clothing by Sanatan Samaj handed over essentials to members of the community which is considered poor economic welfare in Bitthadchir Rural Municipality, Bajhang district Nepal.
Santosh Malla, president of the organization told NepaliPage, they handed over essentials to the needy of the village that was hardly hit by recent flooding in the region. Materials worth one lakh Nepalese rupees (around 1200 Australian dollars) were handed over by the organization.

Sanatan Samaj Australia (SSA) was established in 2020 to promote and practice Sanatan Culture in Canberra as well as other Australian states and territories. Samaj plans to establish Pashupatinath temple in Australia, anticipate uniting all Nepalese living in Australia through the cultural and religious thread.

Sanatan Samaj already organized a couple of Hindu Nepalese festivals and pujas with huge success. Teej, Dashain, Mahashivratri, Ashtami Puja, Tulsi Puja are some successfully organized following the traditional order. Such Pujas are platforms for Nepalese living in Australia to come together and celebrate festivals in the traditional way, Malla said. Gathering in such religious festival not only promote harmony among Nepalese community members but also creates a help network to grow and deal with the uncomfortable situation that may unfold, he added.
