This time authorities warned about driving licence fraud surfacing on social media.

Social media with huge potential to reach such vulnerable newcomer scammers spreading fake claims of providing Australian driving licence as well as renewals without any test. Scammers asking Australian driving licence seekers money via gift cards to obtain NSW driving licence. Service NSW is the only authority that provides and maintains a driving licence in NSW.
Service NSW in its statement says they are aware of driving licence fraud going through social media and websites. Service NSW articulates, ‘getting and maintaining a NSW driver licence can only be authorised via Service NSW; any other obtainment of a driver licence is unlawful and fraudulent.’ Their statement, further makes clear they do not ask for any payment via social media.
These days many fraud government documentations are easily available to by through social media as overseas based scammers promoting such altered documents sale on social handles. Similar fraudulent document scam was recently surfaced over internet claiming to produce covid-19 vaccination certificate without taking any jabs. Members of public should be more vigilant on such claims and offers circulating over social media and report to police or relevant authorities to save themselves as well as others before anyone gets scammed.
