20-year old throaty singer, Arthur Gunn steps in American Idol Season 18. The Kansas based singer in the latest episode of ‘American Idol’ aired on 2020, March 23 gave in an invigorating take on Creedence Clearwater Revival.
With the limited time on hand, the showband members were struggling to keep up with the new arrangements, while Arthur chooses to stick on solo performance, without any playback musician. But, to fill in the immediate emptiness on the show, keyboardist unobtrusively accompanied Arthur.
The judges of the show Lionel Richie, Kate Perry, and Luke Bryan were taken off by his solo performance, granting him a standing ovation.

After the agonizing wait, it was announced that Arthur Gunn had made his way through the next round. He successfully joined the group of selected 40 idol aspirants.
The selected contestants will be performing live in Aulani, Hawaii.
Arthur Gunn aka Dipesh Pokharel born in Kathmandu, Nepal has risen in fame after he participated in American Idol Season 18. During his first audition in Milwaukee, he had performed Bob Dylan’s ‘Girl from the North Country’, ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain’, the classic version of CCR.
Arthur Gunn had taken a risk, changed a few keys and totally shook the arrangement. He actually wanted to recreate musical magic in Hollywood through an indie arrangement of ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain’. He wanted to give in a breathing new life to the song.
Lionel Richie says, “He reminds me of Bob Marley. The spirit that came off that stage, oh my god.”
