Moving from one country to another and migrating from one place to another within your country is totally different. The kind of Packing also varies in between these two types of migration. You might need a day or much more to make your packing list. On the former kind of migration, while planning, you want everything to go inside your baggage. But that may not be a prudent decision. You have to keep in mind the things that are allowed to carry, the weight of your baggage and must have essentials.
What goes inside your suitcase should be arranged in order of importance. You have to set your priorities well while planning. Moving as a student to Australia, these are the must-have things you must carry with you:
1. Documents like passports, visas
It’s certainly nobody can take the risk of forgetting behind at home. Being a student the list of documents you have to carry is much longer. You have to carry a passport with student Visa, birth certificate, original mark sheets, a copy of offer letter from University, an acceptance letter from the University, accommodation letter from a hostel, dorm. And don’t forget to carry photocopies of these documents. The list of documents required differs from universities to meet the requirements going through online portals of them or contacting them the other ways.

With the driving license of Nepal, many states in Australia allow you to drive around for some months before you acquire Australian driving license. This way you can move freely around without depending on public transport (read how Nepali Driving License works in Australia). Also carry an adapter, bilingual dictionary and camera. 3. Items restricted to carry
While packing you need to keep in mind about the goods allowed to ship into Australia. Do not pack sharp items like scissors, knives on your luggage. You are allowed to carry only one liter of liquids, aerosols or gels. To carry more than the prescribed limit if it is for medicinal purpose, a prescription from a medical practitioner is required. In a case of any confusion, you can check online also. It’s not a good idea to bring Agro/Meat products from Nepal.

4. Clothes
Last but not the least is clothing items. Summer lasts from December to February when the temperature reaches to 30-degree Celsius while Winter is on from June to August. Do some research on the climate while you are moving and pack only those clothes you need upon arrival. The rest of clothing can be bought here in the Australian market as well. The Australian market will not let you down.
