The spread and threat of COVID-19 have urged the State Premiers to close down their respective states. NSW and Victorian Governments are proceeding with a complete shut down of every non-essential service. The decision gets implemented within 48 hours to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
However, the major sectors, such as health service, pharmacy, convenience stores, petrol stations, freight, and logistic service, remains open with its home delivery service.
The drastic measure was taken after NSW recorded 500 confirmed cases followed by 296 cases in Victoria.
Both NSW and Victoria are planning to push the emergency shut down at the National Cabinet Meeting. Followingly, the state premiers Gladys Berejiklian and Premier Daniel Andrews have clearly hinted to take up severe measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. [ads2]
Ms Berejiklian, NSW Premier, remarked on up-dating more on the impacts and plans after the National Cabinet meeting.

While the Victoria Premier, Andrew said, the decision in regards to open the school after first term break, is still on hold. The conclusion will get executed after taking advice from the chief health officer.
The National Cabinet meeting gets scheduled for today evening. The session will discuss the emergency restrictions conducted by Europe and China. Prime Minister Morrison said,
“We had scheduled our next meeting to focus on the issue of further and stronger measures to deal with local outbreaks within state jurisdictions. We are bringing forward consideration of those matters to a meeting this evening.”

Earlier on Sunday, 22nd March 2020, both Southern and Western Australia announced to close their border from 2020, March 24, Tuesday. The state also declared the provision of self-isolation for two weeks to travellers. While the states like Tasmania and the Northern Territory have already made restrictions on travel and other areas.
