Nepal government appointed a new honorary consul for New South Wales and Victoria. The Nepalese ambassador to Australia, Kailash Raj Pokharel, handed over the ‘Letter of Commission and Exequature’ to Sanjeev Kumar Sharma and Nirajan Gauli yesterday in Canberra.
Sharma was appointed Honorary Consul of Nepal for New South Wales and Gauli for Victoria. Both are prominent in the Nepalese Community. Education and migration agency is Sharma’s business background. He started his business journey through Expert Education and Visa Services, which enlarged as Expert Group and ran several other businesses. The group has investments in various sectors of Nepal, including hydropower. Recently, it announced further investment in the tourism sector.
Gauli was an engineer. He is deeply involved in the Nepalese Victoria community through Australia Nepal Public Inc. The organisation is involved in suicide prevention and road safety in the Nepalese community.
